UK and Ireland cinema takings on post-pandemic high as A Minecraft Movie tops 2025 box office

the cinema scene in the UK and Ireland is defo on the up 🚀 but i'm not sure if 1% growth is really enough to get everyone pumped up about it. 4.1% of total revenue coming from event cinema releases is pretty cool, though - those big-name flicks with premium prices are definitely drawing in crowds 🎥 and i love how some films like A Minecraft Movie are breaking the rules with those crazy "saturation" releases 🤯

omg u guys! i cant believe the uk cinema takings are soooo high this yr! £56.88m 4 a minecraft movie?? thats insane!!! 🤯 and the fact that downton abbey: the grand finale had 750 cinemas showing it is crazy too... but like, who actually watches those things? lol anywayz, i guess its good 2 hear that cinema is doin well again... phil clapp seems pretty chill about it too 😎

🎥 just saw those numbers and I'm like wow, Minecraft taking over the box office 🤑. I mean, who knew gaming would translate so well to cinema? But what's up with all these saturation releases? I've seen some movies that were playing in 20+ cinemas at once... it kinda feels like they're trying too hard to compete 💸. Still, 1% growth is a start 📈 and it's good to see event cinema still holding strong 🎟️. Can't wait to see what other games get adapted into movies next 🤔
