UK IVF couples use legal loophole to rank embryos based on potential IQ, height and health

I'm like, totally worried about this! You know how we used to just hope for the best when it came to our kids? Now it's all about choosing the "smartest" and "healthiest" embryos... like that's even possible to control. And what's next? Are we gonna start picking out designer babies or something? I mean, I get that some people might want to try, but have you seen those prices they're charging in the US? £37,000?! That's crazy! It just feels so wrong to me... like we're already messing with the natural order of things enough with all this IVF business.

I'm low-key obsessed with the idea of using AI to predict embryo health & IQ 🤯📊! I mean, can you imagine getting to choose the smartest and healthiest little human? It's like having a superpower! Of course, I get why some people are skeptical about this technique being unproven and whatnot. But at the same time, £37k is a pretty steep price tag... I think the tech here is kinda cool, but we gotta make sure it's used responsibly 🤝.

Ugh, can you believe this? 💸 They're basically paying someone to tell them which embryo will make their kid a genius 🤓 or tall ⬆️... Meanwhile, I'm over here paying my internet bill on time without any fancy tech involved 🤪. And what's with the "scientific research" from Herasight? If it's really as good as they say, why not do the testing in the UK like a normal company? 🤔 It just feels like they're preying on people's hopes and fears to make a quick buck 💸... I mean, can't we just stick to proven methods that don't come with an exorbitant price tag? 😒

omg can you believe how advanced this tech is? 🤯 they're basically using AI to help people choose the perfect embryo lol i get why some people would wanna know if their kid will be super smart or tall and healthy, but isn't that just kinda like playing God? 😬 still, i think it's cool that scientists are exploring ways to make IVF more effective 🤖 and if this tech works out, then yay! more chances for couples to have healthy babies 👶 and who knows, maybe it'll even lead to some breakthroughs in genetics 💡

I mean, come on... £37,000 to analyze embryos? That's like asking for a second opinion from a super smart scientist! 🤑 But seriously, I think it's a slippery slope. What if these algorithms are not as accurate as everyone thinks? And what about the ethics of selecting an embryo based on its perceived intelligence or health? It sounds like we're playing God here... and who gets to decide what's "smart" or "healthy"? 🤔 The fact that some fertility clinics are just winging it and sending data abroad for analysis is just reckless. We need more regulation, not less. And what about the cost? Only those with deep pockets can afford this fancy-schmancy genetic testing... it's like we're creating a two-tiered society where only the wealthy can have "designer" kids. 😒

OMG yooo 👀 I'm like super excited about this new tech tho 🤯 Herasight's polygenic testing is literally a game changer for couples going thru IVF 💖 it can make all the difference between having a healthy and smart kid or not 😬 I know some ppl are saying its unproven and unethical but I'm like come on it's just science 🧬 right? And £37k might seem like a lot but its worth it to have a chance at having the perfect baby 👶💕 Plus, I feel like parents have every right to make choices about their kids future 💪 so yeah I think this is gonna be huge for fertility clinics in the UK 👍
