UK to launch pilot scheme that helps homeless people access banking

This new scheme is like they're trying to trick us 🤥... I mean, why are they partnering with just 5 big banks? What about smaller ones or community banks that could also help homeless people? It's all about control and surveillance, if you ask me 🚫. They're using homelessness as a way to justify more government intervention in our lives. And what about the credit agencies? Are they really going to "rescore" those survivors' credit ratings just because? Sounds like another scam to me 🤑. And have you seen the stats on how many people have less than £100 in savings? That's what the banks want, people with no money so they can take advantage of them... this whole scheme is a recipe for disaster 🔥.

I'm totally stoked about this new scheme 🤩! It's about time we tackle that "chicken-and-egg problem" and give homeless people a chance to break the cycle of poverty. I mean, who can blame them for not wanting a bank account when you don't have an address? But now, with Shelter on board, it's like they're giving these folks a leg up 🚀. It's all about building financial resilience, and that's something we should all be supporting.

And let's not forget the domestic abuse survivors - that's some serious tough stuff 💔. I'm glad the credit agencies are going to rescore their credit ratings so they can start fresh. We need more initiatives like this to support people who have been through a lot.

I just wish it didn't take so long for governments to get on board with this kind of thing 🤷‍♀️. But hey, at least we're making progress now. And it's not all about the banks or the government - it's about us as individuals coming together to support each other 💖.

Man I'm really feeling this 🙌, a scheme that lets homeless folks open bank accounts and start building their future is like, totally needed 💸. It's all about creating a loop where people can get a bank account to get work and rent, but they need a bank account to apply for those things... it's just crazy! 😂 I mean the fact that 7,000 people have already benefited from the existing partnership with HSBC is amazing 🙏. Now with more banks on board, it's gonna be way easier for people struggling to get their financial lives together 🤩. And I love how the government is trying to support survivors of domestic abuse too 💪, that's just incredible. We gotta keep pushing towards a world where everyone has access to basic services like banking and financial literacy 🌟.

Wow 🤩💸 this is awesome! finally some banks are gonna help homeless ppl get their life together. its like they need a bank account to get a job or rent a place, so now shes gotta have a job & rent 2 start saving lol. and its not just about opening an acct, its about building financial resilience too 💪

just think about how hard its for homeless people to get their lives sorted out, right? they need a bank account but dont have an address and cant get one... thats like, stuck in this vicious cycle. its cool that the gov is trying to help with this new scheme tho, at least its giving ppl a foot in the door 🤝

i mean, its not just about getting a bank account though, its about having some financial stability, you know? its hard enough for anyone to deal with unexpected costs or emergencies but for homeless people it must be super tough. and thats why this scheme is so important 🌟

and i love that theyre also looking at ways to support victims of domestic abuse who are in debt... thats a whole different level of difficult, you feel? giving ppl a fair chance to rebuild their finances after being taken advantage of is super admirable 💪
