Ukraine war live: Macron denies warning Ukraine about potential US betrayal

French President Emmanuel Macron has denied warning Ukraine about the potential US betrayal in its fight against Russia, saying "unity between Americans and Europeans on the Ukrainian issue is essential". This comes as tensions between the West and Russia remain high over the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine.

During a visit to China, Macron was asked about a report that he had expressed concerns about efforts by the US government to negotiate a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia. However, Macron denied saying such things, stating "I deny everything". He emphasized the importance of unity between Europe and the US in supporting Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's military has launched long-range strikes on Russian targets, including an oil refinery in Syzran and the Temryuk port in Krasnodar region. The attacks were carried out by drones, which also targeted a house in central Dnipropetrovsk region, killing a 12-year-old boy.

In a separate development, Russia's defence ministry said its forces have captured the village of Bezimiane in Ukraine's Donetsk region. President Vladimir Putin warned that Ukrainian troops must withdraw from Donbas or face force, rejecting any compromise over ending the war.

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been ongoing for nearly four years, with fighting intensifying recently. Diplomatic efforts to broker a peace deal have so far failed to yield results.

I'm really worried about kids getting caught in the middle of all this conflict... πŸ€• This 12-year-old boy's life was cut short just because his house was attacked by drones. Can you even imagine? 😭 It makes me wonder how families are coping with the situation over there.

And what's up with Macron denying saying anything about a potential US betrayal? If he genuinely had concerns, wouldn't it be better to talk about them in a constructive way? πŸ’¬ It just seems like more gamesmanship going on between world leaders right now. πŸ€”

I do hope both sides can find a way to resolve their differences without harming innocent people like this young boy. We're always hearing about the human cost of war, and it's heartbreaking. πŸ˜”

idk about macron denying saying that thing, can't we all just talk about it like normal ppl? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ france is always talking trash on china and now it's like they're trying to play both sides against each other... meanwhile in ukraine, kids are getting killed by drones. what's the point of unity if not everyone gets along? πŸ’”

πŸ€” Macron's "deny everything" move is just a masterclass in damage control 😏. Like, did he really think that would make the situation better? πŸ™„ And btw, what's with these long-range drone attacks? Just taking out a 12-yr-old kid? 😒 That's some nasty stuff. Meanwhile, Putin's still all about flexing his military muscles πŸ’ͺ...

I'm not surprised Macron's like "nope, didn't say that" πŸ˜…. It's like when you're asked if you ate the last donut and you're all "no way, I was at the gym at 4am" πŸ©πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ. Seriously though, it's pretty intense right now with Russia, Ukraine, and the West all tangled up in a big mess. Like trying to do your taxes while blindfolded – it's a real challenge! 🀣 Anyways, drones are like the ultimate pranksters, can't even escape their own targeting systems πŸ˜‚. Just hope they don't turn on each other next...

I'm really worried about the kids caught in the middle of this conflict πŸ€•. It's heartbreaking to think that a 12-year-old boy had to lose his life because of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. The fact that drones were used to attack civilians is just devastating 😒.

As a parent, it's hard to see all these innocent lives being lost. I wish world leaders would prioritize finding a peaceful solution instead of engaging in war πŸ’”. Macron's denial about warning Ukraine doesn't change the facts - we need to be honest with ourselves and each other about what's really happening here πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ.

I just hope that one day, our kids won't have to grow up with the scars of war as a normal part of their lives πŸ’•. They deserve a world where they can play, laugh, and live without fear of conflict or violence 🌎.

πŸ€” The whole situation is just so complicated πŸ™ƒ... like Macron says unity between Europe and the US is key to supporting Ukraine, but at the same time he denies ever saying we should worry about the US doing something shady with Russia... it's all a bit suspicious πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. And what really got my attention was that Ukrainian kids are getting caught in the middle of this - like that poor 12-year-old boy who lost his life in a drone attack... innocent people, right? πŸ‘§πŸΌ

And can we talk about how the West is always quick to back Ukraine but what's the plan for after the war ends? Are they gonna just leave Russia all alone? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ I don't get it. And another thing - why do Russian and Ukrainian leaders have to be so dramatic with their threats and warnings? It's all just a big game of chicken, right? πŸ“

I guess what I'm trying to say is that everyone needs to calm down and think about the consequences before they make any more moves... but at the same time, I don't wanna see Ukraine suffer πŸ€•. Can we find some middle ground here? πŸŒˆπŸ’–

πŸ€” just thinkin', what's up with these leaders? France and US are all about unity but then Macron just denies everything πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ like that's even possible. Ukraine's got some crazy stuff goin' on, drones launchin' strikes left and right... a 12-year-old kid died πŸ€•. Russia's all about takin' back Donbas or gettin' an ultimatum 😬. Anyways, I'm just sayin', diplomacy's not workin' out, so what's the plan? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-63750953

just wondering what's going on πŸ€”... sounds like macron is trying to play it cool about those talks he supposedly had about the us betrayal, but at the same time, ukraine is just launching all these attacks on russia and it's getting pretty intense πŸš€πŸ’₯ meanwhile, russia is just telling ukraine to withdraw or face force, like, what's next? 😬
