I'm not sure about this new rule... it seems kinda harsh
. Like, I get where they're trying to keep public assistance from being abused, but suspending visas for whole countries? That's a pretty big deal
. And what about all the people who just want to visit or work in the US? It feels like they're gonna be unfairly targeted too
.
I also don't think this is fair to the folks from countries that are already struggling
. Like, Somalia and Afghanistan have been through some pretty tough times, and I'm not sure why we'd want to make it harder for them to come here
.
And let's be real, how do they plan on vetting all these people?
It sounds like a recipe for bias and unfairness. Like, what if someone from the US wants to apply for a visa but can't prove their financial stability because of some weird family situation? That would suck
.
I'm not saying I don't want immigrants to use public assistance, but come on... shouldn't we be trying to find ways to support them instead of making it harder for them to get here?
