Video Disabled Minneapolis resident dragged, detained by ICE speaks out

Ugh 🤕, this is just so messed up! I mean, can't we treat each other with some basic human decency? Like, Aliya was just trying to get to wherever she needed to go in her wheelchair, right? And then ICE comes along and treats her like a suspect, not a person... it's just horrific. 😱

And what really gets me is that they didn't even accept her disability permit! Like, come on, guys! Don't you know about accessibility laws or something? 🤦‍♂️ It's not like she was trying to sneak around the law or anything.

I'm so sad for Aliya and all the other people who have to go through this stuff. I mean, can't we just have a more compassionate system in place? One that actually takes into account the needs of people with disabilities? 🤞 It's like, we're supposed to be a country that values freedom and equality... but when it comes down to it, ICE is still dragging people around like they're nothing. 😔

can u imagine being treated like this in ur own country?? 🤯 i mean im all for enforcing laws and protecting national security but come on! dragging someone from their car because they cant drive cuz of a disability? that's just cruel 🚫 it highlights how vulnerable ppl with disabilities are when dealing w/ immigration enforcement. we need better support & protection for these ppl 👏

I'm so done with this ICE stuff 🤯! Aliya Rahman's experience is just heartbreaking - can't believe she was treated like that, especially since she has a disability permit to begin with. Like, hello! She's not hiding anything, and those ICE agents just had to go and be super rude and aggressive... 😡 Not exactly the kind of "service" I'd expect from authorities.

And what's up with the conditions in detention centers? It sounds like they're basically designed to break people (especially those with disabilities). Limited access to medical care is a recipe for disaster, and it's just not okay. We need to stand up for people like Aliya and demand better treatment. 🚫

I'm literally shook by Aliya's story 😱. As someone who's lived in the US my whole life, I never realized how scared and vulnerable disabled people can be when dealing with ICE. The fact that they refused to accept her disability permit is just outrageous! 🙄 I mean, what kind of system is this? We're supposed to be a country that values equality and accessibility, not perpetuating trauma and marginalization.

And it's not just Aliya - there are so many more stories like hers out there. It's heartbreaking to think about the mental health toll these experiences can take on people. We need to amplify the voices of disabled migrants and demand better from our government. 🗣️ More support, more accommodations, more understanding! We can do better, USA 💪

can't believe what happened to aliya rahman 🤯. ICE needs to get its act together and provide better training for officers dealing with ppl in wheelchairs or other mobility issues. it's not about being a good cop, it's about following the law and treating everyone equally 💯. gotta make sure those cell conditions are upgraded ASAP too - can't put ppl through that kinda trauma without proper care 🚑💨

I'm so sorry this happened to Aliya 😩... it's just heartbreaking thinking about someone being treated like that just because they have a disability. ICE needs to really rethink their policies, it's not fair to target people who are already vulnerable enough. And the fact that she was dragged from her car in front of her vehicle is just crazy 🚗💨. I can only imagine how traumatic that must have been for her. As a community, we need to come together and support Aliya and others like her, and push for change so this never happens again 💕. We should also be thinking about the mental health impact of these incidents on people with disabilities... it's just not right 🤕.
