Virginia to vote on Democrat-favored redistricting after lawmakers advance plan

the way gerrymandering is being played out in these mid-decade redistricting cycles is wild 🤯. it feels like republicans are doing everything in their power to screw over democrats, but democrats are pushing back with this amendment. i think it's interesting that virginia Democrats see this as a chance to protect their democracy 💪. what's crazy is how much effort republicans are putting into shifting the balance of power, especially when you consider that gerrymandering basically undermines the whole point of fair representation 🤔. it'll be fascinating to see how this all plays out in april 👀.

Like, can't we just have a fair process without all the drama? 🙄 In Virginia's case, it seems like Democrats are trying to take advantage of the situation and shore up their seats. But what about Republicans? Don't they want to give themselves a chance too? 🤷‍♀️ I mean, im not saying either party is "right" or wrong, but can't we all just agree to play fair? 😊 Maybe this mid-decade redistricting push is an opportunity for us to learn how to compromise and find common ground.
