Warm sunshine rules the forecast until storm system reaches Houston next week

Warm sunshine is expected to dominate Houston's forecast until a storm system arrives next week, bringing an end to the pleasant weather pattern that has characterized the area for two consecutive weekends.

As we head into Friday, residents can look forward to another beautiful day filled with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures. While morning lows will still dip into the mid-40s, the dry westerly winds are expected to rapidly warm things up in the afternoon, with highs reaching a comfortable 80 degrees.

The weekend is shaping up to be just as pleasant, with both Saturday and Sunday featuring plenty of sunshine and moderate temperatures - highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s. This welcome change from the cold and arctic air that has plagued Houston for the past two weekends is expected to provide a much-needed respite.

However, it's worth noting that two Pacific storm systems are currently being tracked that could bring some severe weather to Texas by Tuesday and possibly again by Friday. While it's still too early to predict the exact timing and severity of these storms, it's clear that residents can expect another dramatic change in the weather in just a few days.

For now, though, Houstonans are advised to make the most of the pleasant weather while it lasts. With no cold blasts expected until near the end of February, there's plenty of time to enjoy the sunshine and mild temperatures before the next significant weather system arrives.

Ugh, I'm loving the sunshine in Houston right now ๐Ÿ˜Š, but for real though, two storm systems are on their way... ๐ŸŒช๏ธ Like, can we have a break from the weather drama for once? ๐Ÿคฏ At least it's supposed to be pretty pleasant for the next couple of days, so I guess that's something. It's always good to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts, but I'm trying not to get too comfortable... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Not wanting to jinx anything and all that. Let's just hope these storms don't bring any crazy weather like they did last time ๐Ÿคž

Ugh I'd rather be thinking about exams than this crazy Houston weather ๐Ÿคฏ! Anyway, can't help but think how nice it is to have some warm days like this after being stuck in the library for weeks studying for midterms ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ก. But anywayz, hope everyone makes the most of this sunshine before those Pacific storms come through... fingers crossed we don't get hit with any severe weather ๐Ÿคž.

๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ‘ I'm loving this warm spell in Houston! My kids have been stuck indoors all week because of that crazy cold snap and it's so nice they can finally get outside and play without freezing their bums off ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’จ. Fingers crossed these nice days keep coming before the storms roll back in, we don't want to be stuck with another polar vortex situation! ๐Ÿคž

๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ’จ So they're saying we're good for the next 10 days or so? ๐Ÿค” I mean, I'm all about that sunshine life! But those Pacific storms are like, a bummer ๐ŸŒช๏ธ... two of them in one week? ๐Ÿ˜ณ Let's just hope they don't bring too much rain.

Anyway, did you know that Houston is experiencing its longest streak of consecutive days with temperatures above 50ยฐF since 2018? ๐Ÿ“Š It's been 14 days so far! ๐Ÿ’ฅ And with the average temperature for this time of year being around 58ยฐF, it's like, the perfect weather for outdoor activities. ๐Ÿž๏ธ

I'm seeing some crazy stats too... from 2020 to 2025, Houston has seen an average of 4.2 inches of rainfall in January alone! ๐Ÿ’ง That's almost a full inch more than the 20-year average. I guess all this warm weather is gonna be put to the test soon. ๐ŸŒช๏ธ

OMG, yaaas for this warm weather in H-Town!!! ๐ŸŒž๏ธ๐Ÿ’› According to AccuWeather, there's been a 30% drop in temperatures over the past week alone! ๐Ÿ“‰ The average high temp is now at 72ยฐF (22ยฐC), which is a whopping 12ยฐF (6.7ยฐC) higher than this time last year! ๐Ÿคฏ

Here are some crazy stats on Houston's weather:

* The city has seen only 1.5 inches of precipitation in the past month, which is HALF of what we normally see in Feb! โ˜”๏ธ
* There have been 25 consecutive days with sunshine, which is a RECORD for this time of year! ๐ŸŒž๏ธ
* If you're looking to get outside and soak up some rays, now's the perfect time - with UV index at 7 (on a scale of 1-11), it's higher than during peak sun hours last summer! โ˜€๏ธ

Storm systems or not, let's make the most of this gorgeous weather while it lasts! ๐ŸŒด

can't believe we're going back to hot & sunny in houston lol! i was so enjoying those chilly mornings ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’› after that arctic blast last week. anyway, been planning a hike for this weekend with friends and now it's looking like perfect conditions โฐ๐ŸŒณ. fingers crossed the storms don't ruin our plans ๐Ÿคž

Ugh, I'm actually kinda low-key excited for the weather to take a turn for the worse... like, can we please get some real Texas thunderstorms in here?! Two weeks of sunshine is nice and all, but it's getting a bit boring ๐Ÿ˜’. And don't even get me started on how long we're going to have to wait till it gets cold again - near the end of February? That feels like an eternity! Bring on the rain and some much-needed humidity ๐ŸŒ‚๏ธ. I'm not asking for much, just a little drama in the weather forecast ๐Ÿ˜.

Ugh, I'm so over the 40s, lol ๐Ÿ˜‚. Like, can't we just stay at 60s or somethin' for once? But for real, it sounds like Houston is gonna be livin' its best life with that sunshine and warm temps. And yeah, two storm systems comin' in, so fingers crossed they don't ruin the vibe too much ๐Ÿคž. I mean, we all know how Texas weather can be, but let's hope it stays dry 'til then ๐Ÿ˜Š.
