'We need to speak collectively': can parliament solve the problem of 'deprivation bingo' in the UK's seaside towns?

I think its kinda cool that there's a new coastal parliamentary Labour party! 🌊👥 It shows they're willing to listen and take action on the issues affecting those seaside towns. I mean, who doesn't love the beach? 😊 But seriously, establishing a coastal communities minister could be a game-changer. Just imagine someone dedicated to supporting these areas and making sure they get the resources they need.

I also think its awesome that Steff Aquarone is pushing for more than just highlighting the problems. Like, yeah, we need to acknowledge the issues, but we also need to talk about the opportunities! 🌟 There are some amazing startups and initiatives happening in coastal towns, and if we support them with better education and training, it could be a real boost.

And I love Ben Cooper's idea of politicians actually visiting these areas and listening to local concerns. Like, that's what leaders are for, right? 💬 It's all about building trust and showing people that you care. If we can do that, maybe we can turn those seaside towns around and make them thrive again. Fingers crossed! 🤞
