We put the new pocket-size vinyl format to the test—with mixed results

omg I'm so stoked about Tiny Vinyl, but like, let's get real... the sound quality is def not on par with full-size records 🎵😒. I mean, I can see it being fun for casual listeners, especially since it's affordable and compact 🤗, but for me, there's no substitute for that authentic vinyl experience 😊.

I'm also kinda bummed about the manual tonearm requirement... like, I love a good challenge, but it defeats the purpose of having a 'pocket-friendly' format, you know? 💔 And yeah, the price is just weird 🤑. It's like, I get that it's a novelty item now, not a serious music collector's format 🎵.

But hey, I guess it's all about personal preference, and if Tiny Vinyl can inspire some new fans to pick up vinyl, then I'm all for it 💖! Just don't expect me to trade in my full-size records anytime soon 😉.

🎸 idk why they made it 4 inches tho? sounds like a weird compromise between portability & fidelity 🤔 60% of tiny vinyl buyers are gonna be casual listeners who don't care about sound quality, but the other 40% are gonna be total vinyl snobs who'll never touch one 💁‍♀️. anyway, 10k units sold in first month is a decent start 📈.

avg price for tiny vinyl? $18 🤑 that's like buying a whole album of digital music 🎶. they should consider releasing more formats, like 6-inch or 5-inch singles, to make it more appealing to collectors 👀. btw, did you know the vinyl record industry generates over $1.4 billion in revenue annually? 📊
