Weather tracker: Hurricane Melissa leaves trail of destruction across Caribbean

OMG this is crazy!! 🀯😱 I can only imagine how devastated those islands must be πŸ˜”πŸ’” Hurricane Melissa is just a reminder of Mother Nature's power & strength πŸ’ͺπŸŒͺ️. My heart goes out to the people affected by these storms - 90% of buildings in Jamaica are damaged?! That's like, so not okay πŸ˜•. And poor Haiti πŸ€• those flash floods & landslides... my thoughts are with all the victims' families πŸ™πŸ’•. Can only hope that everyone gets the help they need ASAP πŸš¨πŸ’–

OMG 🀯, this is crazy! Like, a category 5 hurricane just tore through the Caribbean and left so many people affected πŸ˜”. I'm thinking about all those homes that were destroyed in Jamaica and Cuba... what about the ppl who lost their stuff? And 90% of buildings in Black River are damaged? That's insane! 🀯

And then there's this other storm, Cyclone Montha, bringing catastrophic flooding to India 🌊. I mean, I've heard of floods before, but 603 million dollars in damage is like, whoa πŸ’Έ. And in Vietnam, it sounds like the flooding is affecting so many ppl and homes... that's really sad πŸ˜”.

I'm just wondering, what can we do to help these areas recover? Are there any organizations or governments that are providing aid? 🀝

idk why everyone's freaking out about these hurricanes, it's not like they're a new thing πŸ˜’. yeah, melissa is pretty intense but it's just another hurricane that happens every year. 185mph winds? that's crazy, i guess. but have you seen the damage from other natural disasters? like, what's the difference between this and hurricane katrina or whatever πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

and don't even get me started on these "catastrophic" labels. is it really that catastrophic? or are we just trying to sound good in our reports πŸ“? i mean, sure, people are dead and stuff, but what's the big deal about 90% of buildings being damaged? it's not like they're unique or anything 😴.

and then there's cyclone montha and vietnam... yeah, those storms are bad too, but we need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture here 🌎. natural disasters are just part of life. we should be prepared for them, but we shouldn't freak out every time one happens πŸ™„.
