I'm totally with Wilcox on this one, he's been way too underrated and people need to give him some credit for getting rid of Amorim. I mean, if you can take down a head coach like that, it shows you're not afraid to make tough decisions and get your hands dirty. The whole "puppet" thing is just a joke, Wilcox has got the brains and the balls to back up his own ideas. And yeah, Sir Jim's got some weird experience, but who cares? He's a billionaire with a vision for football, that's all you need to know!
It's a sad reality, man ... the more I think about it, the more I'm like "what's going on with these football powerhouses?" They're so focused on winning that they've forgotten what makes the game worth playing in the first place: passion and creativity! It's all about data science now, analytics this, and "experts" making decisions for the sake of it... I mean, what even is that? And don't even get me started on Sir Jim Ratcliffe , like, sailing and petrochemicals has nothing to do with football, right?!
the thing is tho, if the big boys got a say, dont u think theyd just stick with what works? like 3-4-3 or whatever formation gets the job done? all these high-falutin' execs comin outta nowhere makin decisions without knowin the ins and outs of the game... its like, hello, have u ever even played footy at a pub league level?
i mean, im not sayin wilcox isnt a smart cookie and all that but cmon, cant we see thru this corporate speak? hes just doin what he's told by sir jim and whoever else is pullin the strings. its time for some fans to wake up and start questionin who really runs the show
i feel like the whole football world is just a puppet show at this point and these "big players" making decisions without anyone holding them accountable is super worrying. its like they're more concerned with their own egos and bank accounts than actually developing the team or giving young coaches a chance to shine i mean, what's next? having someone from petrochemicals deciding on the tactics of the biggest club in the world? it just feels like its all about who you know rather than who can do the job best
I'm telling you, it's getting out of hand . These big bosses think they know more about the game than anyone else just because they have a few bucks to throw around . Newsflash: having a good business sense doesn't automatically qualify you as a football genius . And don't even get me started on this "data science and analytics" mumbo-jumbo... what's next, relying on spreadsheets to decide player positions? I mean, where are the young coaches with passion and creativity? It's like they're just being sold a dream, not actually living it . We need to wake up, folks! The gilded overclass is running amok, and we can't just sit back and watch our teams get destroyed by their decisions .
I think its pretty shady when a company like Manchester United puts someone in charge just cuz they have the right title and not necessarily because they know what theyre doing with football . Like, its not just about Sir Jim Ratcliffe being good at petrochemicals or sailing, its about if he actually knows anything about running a football team. And lets be real, its getting more and more common for big clubs to have some rich guy making all the decisions without anyone checking them . Its like they think they can just buy success and get away with it, which is not how football works at all . As a fan, you want to feel like your team is being run by people who actually care about what youre watching, not just some wealthy guy trying to line his own pockets
