What Time Is New ‘South Park’ Episode This Week And What's It About?

New 'South Park' Episode This Week: Back to Politics After Halloween Special?

Comedy Central has confirmed that Trey Parker and Matt Stone's South Park will resume its signature brand of biting satire this Wednesday, with the third episode of Season 28, titled "Sora Not Sorry," set to premiere at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The new episode promises to tackle a different theme, but fans of the show won't be surprised if they notice it still retains a touch of politics. In a teaser video released earlier this week, Kyle yells out words of caution to his friend Butters about using AI to make revenge porn, only for Butters to respond with a shrugging attitude that suggests he doesn't care.

While the Halloween episode continued the show's scathing critique of President Donald Trump and his administration, it appears that Parker and Stone are taking a step back from politics this week. However, given the show's tendency to jump between topics, there's always a chance they'll revert to form soon enough.

The episode will start streaming on Paramount+ at 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT on Thursday, just hours after its cable premiere on Comedy Central. For those who have been following Season 28 so far, it's worth noting that the show has been consistently skewering Trump and his policies, with some episodes even featuring the First Lady as a spectral figure.

When asked about the show's political leanings by The Hollywood Reporter earlier this week, Trey Parker explained that while the show is still committed to tackling current events, "politics became pop culture" over the past year. He assured fans that South Park remains an equal opportunity offender, targeting extremists of all stripes and making fun of hot-button issues like woke culture.

Despite any attempts to dial back the politics this week, fans should remain vigilant – after all, as Parker himself noted, you can't keep a good thing down for long in South Park.

Wow 🤯, I'm so hyped for this new episode! Interesting how Trey Parker and Matt Stone are trying to balance out the bite with other themes... but let's be real, politics is gonna creep back in eventually 😂.

I'm loving how Trey Parker and Matt Stone are keeping it real with their satire 🤣. I mean, who needs a break from pointing out the absurdity of our world's politicians and social issues? The fact that they're saying politics became pop culture makes me think they're just acknowledging that we can't ignore these topics forever 💁‍♂️. I'm hyped for this new episode, especially with Butters' response to Kyle about AI... it's like, dude, don't even try to pretend you care 😂. Can't wait to see what other hot topics they tackle this season! 👀

u guys think trey & matt are gonna completely drop politics now? lol no way, they just wanna keep it interesting and unpredictable. i mean, they said the same thing last season and then BAM! next ep is all about trump again 🤷‍♂️ anyway, imo "sora not sorry" sounds like a fun one, cant wait to see how they tackle that whole ai revenge porn thing 🤖

lol what's up with Trey and Matt trying to tone it down tho? i mean, south park is all about speaking truth to power and making fun of the idiots in charge 🤣 they're like "oh we'll just do an episode without politics this week" but we know that's never gonna happen 😂 i'm still hyped for the new ep tho, can't wait to see what kind of crazy antics Kyle and Butters get up to 👀

🤔 I'm kinda surprised they're takin' a step back from politics this week, but I gotta think it's just a tactical move to give themselves some breathing room. Like Trey said, "politics became pop culture" and the show's always gonna find ways to poke fun at that. But if they keep goin' with the AI revenge porn theme, it might just be another commentary on how we're all just tryna stay one step ahead of each other online 🤖💻. Either way, I'm excited to see what kinda satire comes outta this episode!

idk if they think they can just tone it down for one episode 🤔... south park's whole thing is that it's always going to be a little bit edgy and unpredictable 🎉. i mean, even if they're not hitting trump directly this time around, they're still gonna make fun of some hot-button issue or another 😂. and let's be real, butters is such a wild card 🤪. the guy doesn't know what he wants to do half the time lol. anyway, i'll def be tuning in to see how it all plays out this week 📺. might not change my mind much one way or another, but at least it'll be entertaining 😂.

I'm so hyped for this new ep! 🤩 I mean, Trey and Matt are masters at poking fun at the absurdity of politics, but I'm also loving how they're not afraid to tackle some weird tech issues like revenge porn lol. Butters' attitude is everything 🤣 can't wait to see Kyle's reaction on Thurs morning when it drops on Paramount+ 👍

omg, i'm so stoked that south park is back with another episode! 🤪 i mean, who doesn't love Trey and Matt's brand of biting satire? and yeah, it's only a matter of time before they dive back into politics, but hey, maybe this week will be a refreshing change of pace? 🙏 the way they're tackling AI-related issues is so relevant right now, btw. also, i'm loving the fact that they're still keeping it real with their Trump critiques - we need more of that! 💁‍♀️ and let's be real, who can resist Butters' adorable shrugging face? 😂

🤔 the show's politics are always gonna be there... its what makes it so good, imo 🎉 but at the same time, i get why they wanna mix things up every now and then. its like this -

```
+---------------+
| Satire |
+---------------+
+---------------+ +---------------+
| Politics | | Pop Culture |
+---------------+ +---------------+
anyway, can't wait for this episode 🤪 and how it plays out!
I'm so worried about the kids watching that show 🤯... I mean, it's just too much with all the adult themes and politics 💔. My 10-year-old nephew loves the show but sometimes it freaks me out 😱. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are so good at pushing boundaries, but don't they think about the impact on young viewers? 🤷‍♀️ At least now the episode is available on Paramount+ for us to decide if we want to watch... might just have to skip it with my little ones 👶🏼.
I'm loving how South Park is still keeping it real, even if they're taking a step back from Trump and co. Trey and Matt know their stuff and aren't afraid to push boundaries. I mean, using AI to make revenge porn? That's just good commentary right there. And let's be real, you can't keep the guys at South Park on mute for too long – they'll find another angle to attack in no time. Love how the show stays true to its roots and isn't afraid to take shots at pop culture. Can't wait to see what this week's episode has in store! 🤣
I'm low-key excited for this new ep of South Park! 😆 Trey Parker and Matt Stone are legends for keeping it real and tackling the tough stuff. I mean, who else is gonna roast Trump's administration like that? 🤣 But at the same time, I get why they might wanna take a step back from politics after Halloween – we've seen enough drama to last us a lifetime! 💥 Still, you can bet your bottom dollar they'll be jumping back into it soon enough. The show's too good, and their fans (us!) are always down for some good ol' fashioned satire 😂. Can't wait to see what Kyle and the gang have in store for us this week! 👀
I'm kinda curious how far Trey Parker and Matt Stone will push their satire this week... I mean, it's not like they're gonna just leave politics hanging out to dry, but at the same time, they did say they're taking a step back from it 🤔. I've been thinking about that AI revenge porn thingy, and it got me wondering - how do you balance making fun of issues with being responsible and respectful? It's like, they can't just mock something without giving it some thought, right? 😊
