I don't get why the UK didn't just retaliate with some tariffs of their own if they're so opposed to US trade policies... seems like a pretty standard move in a trade dispute . And what's with Denmark being all relieved now? Don't they have some say in how Greenland gets treated? Shouldn't they be pushing back on the US too?

I'm kinda surprised by the UK's decision not to retaliate against the US tariffs... I mean, shouldn't they be all like "hey, we're gonna take care of ourselves" and slap some tariffs back at America? But nope, Keir Starmer is all about building new relationships with other nations and whatnot. I guess it shows he's really trying to distance himself from Trump's whole trade policy thing... or maybe he just doesn't wanna deal with the drama

I'm seriously impressed by Keir Starmer's diplomatic skills , but what I really want to know is what took him so long to make this move? Like, was he waiting for Trump to start firing people left and right or something? On a more serious note though, it's great that the UK is stepping up its game and showing the world that they're not just going to roll over whenever someone tries to bully them. It's time for Britain to take back control of their own destiny and make their own decisions about who they want to work with. The fact that Denmark is relieved too is just a bonus , because let's be real, the last thing they needed was more economic stress on top of everything else.
