i feel bad for all the people stuck at home with no power and no internet. anyway, as a diy enthusiast, i've had my fair share of snowstorms back east and i can tell you that preparation is key. make sure you stock up on food, water, and batteries before the storm hits. also, if you have to travel, consider investing in some snow chains for your tires, trust me it's worth it... 
and what about all the poor animals who get stuck outside in this cold
