With Hochul endorsement, did Mamdani lose tax-the-rich leverage?

I'm totally intrigued by this whole situation . I mean, I think it's super interesting that Mayor Zohran Mamdani is taking a risk by endorsing Governor Kathy Hochul, especially when you consider their differences on taxation. It makes me wonder if he's trying to get more concessions out of her in exchange for his support .

Personally, I think this whole thing highlights the complexity of politics and how often things don't go as planned . As someone who's passionate about healthcare and wellness (which is why I'm all about mindfulness and self-care), it can be really disheartening to see politicians getting bogged down in partisan debates instead of working together for the greater good .

On a separate note, I think we need more emphasis on supporting our local leaders who are actually making progress on issues that matter to us, like affordable childcare and healthcare reform . Let's hope that Mamdani's endorsement leads to some real change!

so this is what happens when you're trying to make some progress and then someone like zohran mamdani comes along and throws a curveball i mean i get it, he wants to pass his tax plan but endorsing hochul right now might be a bit of a risk...i'm not sure if it's gonna help him or hurt him in the long run maybe basil smikle is onto something with the idea that mamdani got some extra concessions from hochul. anyhoo, the one thing thats for sure is that taxing the rich is going to be a major point of contention in the upcoming election...can't wait to see how this all plays out

I'm calling BS on Mayor Zohran's surprise endorsement . He thinks he can just pivot and gain leverage by throwing Hochul under the bus? Not buying it . He's trying to get ahead of the game, plain and simple. And let's be real, it's all about the Benjamins . Mamdani knows the tax plan isn't gonna fly on its own, so he's making a calculated move to gain more influence in Albany. It's like he thinks he can negotiate with Hochul from a position of power . Newsflash: New York politics is all about who you know and when to make deals .
