Woman’s Reason for Not Accommodating Dad’s Allergies Backed: ‘We’ll Miss You’

idk why ppl are making a big deal about this woman's birthday plans 🤔... i mean yeah the stepdad has an allergy but it's not like she's forcing him to eat shellfish or anything... can't he just order something else for himself? 🍴 and btw i've been trying to cut down on my own food waste lately, so i totally get why she'd wanna stick to her tradition 🌸

I dont get why ppl are talking about this 🤔... its just about having ur own day! Like, cant we all just be supportive? Its not like shes hurting anyone else's feelings or something. And yeah, experts say set boundaries? that sounds super relatable to me lol I mean, who sets their own limits in a family setting? My mom's always trying to guilt trip me into doing stuff with her when im feeling down 😒

It's kinda funny how everyone's talking about this woman's right to set personal boundaries... but let's be real, it's not just about a birthday tradition 😂. It's about power dynamics in the family. Think about it: if your stepdad has a history of crossing boundaries and now he wants you to accommodate him on your special day? That's like saying "okay" to a never-ending cycle of guilt and resentment. The woman is basically saying "no more" and taking back control. Some people are going to get mad, but I say kudos to her for prioritizing her own needs 🙌. It's about time we started talking about how to set healthy boundaries in our families, especially when it comes to power imbalances 👊.

🙏 this is so relatable... i mean, who sets their plans around others just because they're family? 🤷‍♀️ the woman's right to stick to tradition is valid, but also understanding if it causes someone else distress is key ⚠️ it's not about being selfish, it's about prioritizing your own happiness and well-being 💖 we need more people like this who aren't afraid to set boundaries 👍

🤗 I think this whole thing is kinda like when my grandma used to get mad at me if I didn't want to help with the dishes after dinner... yeah it can be a bit awkward, but honestly, who's gonna win in the end? It's her birthday and she wants to celebrate her way, no biggie! 🤷‍♀️ And btw, shellfish is not exactly a common food anyway, so I'm sure the stepdad will survive on an app and salad 😂. The thing is, it's her tradition and she's all grown up now, so maybe it's time for him to learn to be more understanding? 💯
