Arsenal's Women's Super League campaign continues to show signs of improvement with a convincing 4-1 thrashing of Leicester City at King Power Stadium. Goals from Stina Blackstenius, Alessia Russo and two more from Kim Little ensured the visitors left the Foxes' home ground empty-handed.
The Gunners were on top in the first half, with Blackstenius breaking free down the left flank before delivering a pinpoint cross that Russo headed past Emma Hayes's former Leicester goalkeeper, Sophie Harris. A second Russo goal just before halftime saw Arsenal take a 2-0 lead, but the Foxes clawed back with a goal from Lauren Hemp in the 58th minute.
However, it was Arsenal who regained their composure and scored three more without further reply from Blackstenius and Little, as the visitors secured their third-consecutive win in all competitions.
