Great Britain has made a strong start to its Winter Olympics campaign after securing gold medals in two major snowboarding events at the X Games in Aspen, Colorado. Zoe Atkin and Mia Brookes led the charge, with Atkin claiming her second X Games freeski title and Brookes winning the women's snowboard slopestyle competition.
Atkin dominated the women's ski superpipe competition, scoring a 94.66 to take gold ahead of Australian Indra Brown in second place. This victory marks Atkin's third career X Games podium following last year's win and a silver medal in 2024, while she also boasts three World Cup podiums this season.
Brookes secured her first major podium of the season with a score of 96.33, beating New Zealand's Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, who took silver with a score of 93, and Kokomo Murase of Japan, who claimed bronze with 89.66. The win marks Brookes' second major podium of the season, following success at the Beijing Big Air World Cup in December.
