4 injured in shooting at North Carolina tree lighting ceremony

At least four people were injured in a shooting at an annual tree lighting ceremony in Concord, North Carolina, on Friday evening. According to authorities, the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. near Corbin Avenue and Union Street, where multiple police vehicles responded quickly.

The suspects involved in the shooting are reportedly known to each other. Police identified one of the shooters as 18-year-old Nasir Ahmad Bostic, who was shot during the incident. Bostic is listed in critical condition at a hospital and faces multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon.

Another suspect, described only as a juvenile, was also shot and is currently recovering in hospital in critical condition. The juvenile will face similar charges to Bostic.

A third suspect, identified as a 17-year-old, has been charged with accessory after the fact and inciting a riot. Police said this individual was not injured during the shooting.

Emergency services were already present at the scene for the ceremony, and responded rapidly to the incident. Authorities are currently reviewing video footage from the event and interviewing witnesses as part of their investigation.

OMG what's with these tree lighting ceremonies getting all crazy? like, I know they're supposed to be fun and festive but can't we just enjoy some hot cocoa without worrying about getting shot? ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ˜ฑ anyway, have you guys seen those new drone videos that are going viral on TikTok? the way they capture those sunsets is insane! ๐Ÿ’ฅ I swear, I'd love to get one of those drones for Christmas this year...

๐Ÿ˜ž Just heard about this crazy incident in Concord, NC... four people hurt in a shooting at a tree lighting ceremony ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŽ„! I'm still trying to process how someone could do something so senseless during a family-friendly event ๐Ÿ˜•. I mean, what's the point of bringing guns to a festive gathering? It just doesn't make sense ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ.

The fact that there are multiple suspects known to each other is really concerning ๐Ÿšจ. I hope the police can catch them ASAP and bring some closure to these families ๐Ÿ’•. And to the 17-year-old who got charged with accessory, I feel sorry for you... you're just a kid, man! ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

I'm so grateful that emergency services were already at the scene and responded quickly โค๏ธ. It's a reminder of how lucky we are to have people like them keeping us safe ๐Ÿ™. Fingers crossed that Nasir Bostic recovers soon from his injuries ๐Ÿ’ช! #TreeLightingShooting #ConcordNC #StaySafe ๐ŸŒŸ

OMG, can you even believe what's been happening in Concord, NC? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I mean, a tree lighting ceremony is supposed to be all about spreading joy and cheer, not chaos and violence! ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿ’” Those poor kids who got caught up in this senseless shooting... 4 people injured, one of them critical, and it just makes me so sad ๐Ÿค•. And now the police are reviewing video footage and interviewing witnesses... I hope they catch these guys ASAP so justice can be served ๐Ÿ’ช. It's just crazy to think that all this happened in a place where families were supposed to be coming together to celebrate the holidays ๐ŸŽ„. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy ๐Ÿ˜”.

Ugh, can you believe this? A tree lighting ceremony goes horribly wrong... ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I mean, what's next? Is everyone just gonna lose it in public places? Anyway, I'm glad the emergency services were already present at the scene and responded quickly, that was a major factor in saving lives. But still, four people injured and one in critical condition? This is just senseless violence... ๐Ÿคฏ The fact that all three suspects knew each other beforehand kinda raises some red flags, though. I mean, what's gonna stop them from doing this again if they're not held accountable? And the 17-year-old who got charged with accessory after the fact? That's just a slap in the wrist, if you ask me... ๐Ÿ˜’

๐Ÿ˜” just heard about that crazy tree lighting ceremony in Concord, NC... can't believe a tragic incident like that had to happen during something supposed to be all fun and festive ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŒฒ. I mean, I'm glad emergency services were already there and could respond so quickly, but it's still really sad that people got hurt ๐Ÿค•. hope the injured folks recover soon ๐Ÿ™. wonder what led up to this... suspects knew each other, maybe? ๐Ÿค”

Man, can you believe what's happening in Concord right now? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ It's a harsh reminder that even on happy occasions like tree lighting ceremonies, tragedy can strike. But you know what they say, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade"... or in this case, when life throws you a shooting, try to find the lesson in it too.

Think about it, these guys were at an event meant to bring people together, and instead, they chose to take out their frustrations on others. That's not how we handle conflicts - with guns? It's like, we need to ask ourselves why someone would resort to violence, especially when there are so many other ways to resolve issues.

It's also a testament to the emergency responders who were already at the scene and reacted so quickly. They're true heroes! But what can we take away from this? Maybe it's that even in dark moments, there are still good people willing to step up and help. We just gotta be better at preventing these situations from happening in the first place... ๐Ÿ’ก

Man, this is so senseless ๐Ÿคฏ! Tree lighting ceremonies are supposed to be a fun way to kick off the holiday season, but now it's like they're just another target for people with no regard for human life ๐Ÿ’”. I mean, who does that? It's crazy that four people were hurt and one of them is still recovering in hospital - it's just devastating ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. And what's even more frustrating is that the shooter got shot back during the incident... like, what are they even thinking? ๐Ÿ™„

I feel bad for Nasir Ahmad Bostic, he was just 18 and was trying to join in on the fun, not knowing his life would be turned upside down. And a juvenile getting hurt too? That's just heartbreaking ๐Ÿ˜ข. The police did their job by responding quickly and taking control of the situation, but it's still hard to imagine what that must have been like for everyone involved ๐Ÿค•.

It's a dark day when even joyous events like tree lighting ceremonies can turn violent ๐Ÿ˜”. As the saying goes, "The best time to plan for the future is today." But it seems we still have a long way to go in ensuring our communities are safe and secure ๐Ÿ’”.

this is such a crazy thing to happen at a tree lighting ceremony ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ˜ฑ, like what was going on in that guy's head to pull out a gun and shoot people? it's just so senseless ๐Ÿค•. i'm glad the emergency services were already there to respond quickly though, that's some top-notch work ๐Ÿ’ฏ. but seriously, how can something like this happen at a family-friendly event where everyone comes together to celebrate the holidays? it's just heartbreaking ๐Ÿ˜”. and poor Nasir Ahmad Bostic is in critical condition... hope he gets the help he needs soon ๐Ÿคž.

I donโ€™t usually comment but... I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one. Can you imagine walking into a festive event like a tree lighting ceremony, expecting to celebrate the holiday season with your community? And then, suddenly, gunfire erupts. It's just so senseless and tragic.

I feel bad for the victims, especially that poor 18-year-old who was shot and is now fighting for his life. The fact that there were multiple shooters involved makes it even more alarming. I hope the police are able to catch the others involved soon.

It's crazy how these incidents can happen in broad daylight. And the worst part is that emergency services were already present at the scene, which just goes to show that no one was expecting this kind of thing to happen. ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ’”

Ugh, another crazy thing that happened... ๐Ÿคฏ I just saw this on the news and it's so sad. A tree lighting ceremony, which is supposed to be a family-friendly event, turned into a nightmare in like 2 seconds. Four people got hurt, including an 18-year-old who's currently fighting for his life... ๐Ÿ’” And to make matters worse, there were already cops on the scene from the start, so they could've reacted way faster if it wasn't for some other stuff happening beforehand.

I don't know what's going on with these young people and guns... ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ It's like, we all know this is a big deal, but sometimes I feel like no one's doing enough to prevent these incidents. I mean, the 17-year-old who got charged with inciting a riot wasn't even shot! What did they expect to happen? ๐Ÿค”

I guess my point is... can't we all just get along and have some peace? Even if it's just for one day, like at this tree lighting ceremony. ๐ŸŒฒ It's not too much to ask, right? ๐Ÿ˜”

just saw this news and its so sad that something like this happens during a joyful event like tree lighting ceremony... i dont know what was going through those people's minds but shooting someone at a family friendly event is just crazy ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ’” they say the suspects knew each other which makes it even more shocking... hope Nasir gets better fast ๐Ÿคž and everyone involved will face justice ๐Ÿ’ฏ anyway, glad emergency services were quick to respond ๐Ÿš‘โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ hope the community in concord is strong enough to get through this tough time ๐Ÿ’•

This tree lighting thingy is just asking for trouble ๐Ÿค”. I mean, think about it - a crowded public space with all those people, some fireworks, music... it's like a powder keg waiting to happen ๐Ÿ’ฅ. And then you add in the fact that some of these suspects knew each other beforehand, which means they were probably planning something like this for ages ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

It's also pretty wild that one of the shooters got hurt during the incident and is now facing charges too ๐Ÿ˜…. I guess it just goes to show that even people who are already in trouble can escalate things to a whole new level. And what really gets me is that some kid is being charged with inciting a riot for just showing up at the scene ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Like, c'mon... how hard is it to just leave when you don't want to be there? ๐Ÿ˜’

Ugh ๐Ÿ˜ฑ just got out of that tree lighting ceremony in Concord NC and it's still giving me major anxiety ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. I was there with my fam and we were all so caught up in the moment ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ’ซ, but then this shooting happens and everyone goes into panic mode ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ˜จ. I mean, can't believe it happened right under our noses ๐Ÿคฏ! The fact that four people got hurt is just devastating ๐Ÿ’”. And those kids involved? Like, 17-18 years old already dealing with adulting issues ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฅ. Hope they get the help they need ASAP ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ #JusticeForTheVictims #PreventionOverPunishment #SafetyFirst

Man, this is so senseless ๐Ÿ˜”. I feel bad for all those people who got injured, especially Nasir Ahmad Bostic - can't believe he's facing multiple charges just because things went wrong. ๐Ÿคฏ It's crazy that there were already emergency services at the scene and they still responded quickly to the incident... you'd think it would've been easier to prevent something like this from happening in the first place ๐Ÿ™. And a 17-year-old getting charged for accessory after the fact? That's just harsh, you know? ๐Ÿ’”

omg this is so messed up ๐Ÿคฏ like what's wrong with some ppl? tree lighting ceremony supposed to be all about community and joy and now it turns into a bloodbath ๐Ÿ˜ญ how many times do we have to see this happen before ppl take responsibility for their actions?? and seriously, 4 people injured?! that's crazy ๐Ÿ’ฅ Bostic getting shot during the incident? that's just cruel ๐Ÿค• and what's with the juvenile being charged too? kids shouldn't be dealing with this kind of drama ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ anyway, glad no one was killed... I guess ๐Ÿ˜”

Man, this is just so senseless ๐Ÿค•... I'm thinking about those 4 people who got hurt, they're lucky to be alive. It's crazy that some teens would turn a peaceful community event into chaos ๐Ÿ’”. I feel bad for the emergency services too, they must've been on high alert already because of their job, but still, it's never easy dealing with these kinds of situations ๐Ÿš‘.

It's not cool that one of the suspects got shot and is now fighting for their life, while another one is a juvenile... it's like, what's going to happen to them when they get out? ๐Ÿคž. And then there's this 17-year-old who thought it was okay to incite a riot after the fact... that's just not right ๐Ÿ˜’.

I hope the police are able to find out who else might've been involved and bring some justice to the families of those hurt ๐Ÿ’ช. This incident is just a reminder that we need to keep working towards creating safer communities for everyone ๐ŸŒŸ.

Ugh, just what we need - more gun violence ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, who needs a tree lighting ceremony when you can just have a shooting instead? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Just kidding, sorta. Seriously though, four people injured and multiple charges for the suspects... it's just crazy. And another one gets shot and becomes a suspect? Talk about a real-life video game ๐ŸŽฎ. The fact that emergency services were already there and responded quickly is a good thing, but you'd think we wouldn't need to worry about this stuff anymore. I guess some people are just really bad at the whole "not hurting anyone" thing ๐Ÿ˜’.
