Beatriz González obituary

🤕 I'm so saddened to hear about Beatriz González's passing 🌹, but at the same time I'm blown away by her life's work! Her art is like a time capsule of Colombia's history, it's like she was trying to make sense of all the chaos and violence that's been going on for decades. And the fact that her installation is now a tribute to those who have lost their lives is just heartbreaking 💔.

As a parent, I wish more people would be exposed to art like hers, especially young people who are growing up in a world where conflict and injustice are still very real issues 🤯. We need more voices like Beatriz's that can inspire us to think critically about the world we live in and to strive for justice and equality.

But what I love most about her art is the way it makes you feel – it's like she's tapping into your emotions and making you see the world from a different perspective 🌈. That's what art should be, right? A way to connect with others and make us think differently? 💭

man she left us way too early... I mean 93 is old age but Beatriz González was on fire till the end her artwork still gives me chills thinking about all those anonymous victims in Colombia, it's like she was screaming at us to pay attention to the truth... and that Auras Anónimas installation? wow what a powerful tribute to her life's work I loved how she mixed politics with art, it's like she knew the power of an image could change things. anyways, we gotta celebrate her legacy now 🕊️💥

Just read about Beatriz González and I'm totally blown away 🤯 Her work is like, so hauntingly beautiful... like she's speaking straight to your soul 🌹 The way she transformed the columbarium into this immersive installation is pure genius 💥 And that painting Señor Presidente? Mind. Blown. 👀 It's like she's giving you a glimpse into Colombia's dark past and saying, "Hey, we need to confront this stuff if we want to move forward" 🤝 Anyway, her legacy will definitely live on through this amazing installation at the Central Cemetery - can't wait to see it in person 💭
