The VAR system is like trying to referee a toddler's temper tantrum - it's all over the place
! I mean, I get that they're trying to make the game fair and all, but sometimes it feels like they're just throwing darts at the screen hoping something sticks. Like with Arsenal's goal, I'm not sure if the disallowed goal was actually the right call... I mean, Fran Kirby did seem pretty upset
. But on the other hand, if a red card isn't given for all that contact, then where does it stop? It's like trying to solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded - you just can't get it right every time
.
And don't even get me started on the pressure on match officials
. They're human too, after all! You'd think that with VAR, they'd have an easier job, but nope... now they've got to deal with all these crazy calls and missed red cards on top of their regular games. I'm just saying, maybe it's time for a more lenient approach (or at least, a better explanation for the calls
).
