A fire broke out in an apartment complex in Miami Beach on Thursday evening, causing a thick haze of smoke to fill the air. The blaze started around 6:45 p.m., prompting crews from the Miami Beach Fire Rescue to rush to the scene.
Once there, firefighters swiftly worked to put out the flames, and by all accounts, they were able to bring the fire under control relatively quickly. During their inspection, officials noticed that a pot had been left unattended on the stove in the kitchen - it's believed this may have been the source of the ignition.
Despite the urgency of the situation, there was no indication that anyone was present at the apartment when the fire began. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.

just saw the news about the fire in Miami Beach and I'm so relieved that everyone got out safely 
! You know, it's moments like these that make me think of movies like "The Burning" from 1981, you know the one where Drew Barrymore gets trapped in a burning house? 
anyway, gotta give credit to those firefighters who worked quickly and efficiently to put out the flames 
. And I mean, who hasn't had that moment where they just totally spaced out on something simple like leaving a pot unattended on the stove? 
at least no one was hurt, that's all that matters

luckily no one was home at the time, but still, super scary situation. it's always those little things that can make all the difference in keeping us safe, you know? so glad the fire department showed up ASAP and did their thing... just a reminder to be careful with our appliances and stay vigilant!

It's just common sense, you know? But yeah, super lucky no one was home or hurt in this one. Glad the firefighters were able to respond quickly and get the fire under control before it got out of hand. It's always scary when there's a fire, but I guess that's why we have those quick responders. Should've been more careful with that pot, though... 
, and to see those firefighters jump into action like that, it was honestly awe-inspiring. But at the same time, it makes me think about all the times people leave things unattended in their kitchens - it's just so irresponsible. A pot left on the stove can be a recipe for disaster, and I'm not gonna lie, my heart sank when I saw that video of the flames spreading like crazy. Thankfully, everyone was safe, but it's still a big reminder to be more mindful about our daily habits. Can't stress enough how quickly things can go from bad to worse in situations like this 
I'm still shook by fires like this in cities that are supposed to be super safe... Miami Beach is already a crazy place to live, you know? The smoke was thick enough to see from my window 
. I keep thinking about all those people who have to deal with this kind of thing every day. Apartment fires can happen anywhere, but it's especially tragic when they're preventable, like in this case where a pot just got left unattended...

what I find crazy is how common it is for fires to start from things like unattended pots on the stove.

its like, super easy to prevent fires from starting in the first place... i remember when im a kid my mom always say dont leave stove on while you're out of the room lol but seriously, ppl need to be more responsible and look out for each other, especially when it comes to fire safety
