DreamPark Takes Mixed Reality Theme Parks On The Road

DreamPark, A Portable Mix Of Reality Theme Park Experience Hits The Road

The dream of transforming traditional theme parks into virtual experiences has finally come to fruition. Two Bit Circus co-founder Brent Bushnell and Aidan Wolf, XR developer and friend, have cracked the code by harnessing mixed reality technology.

A casual experiment in a parking lot using hacked headsets and drift trikes is now the starting point for a company that promises portable theme parks anywhere with just hours of setup. The idea was born from Two Bit Circusโ€™s headquarters as Bushnell remembered watching his heart rate spike while he pedaled through digital terrain, realizing DreamPark's potential.

The system is compatible with Quest headsets and has recently been augmented with an essential companion mobile app for operators. This phone interface eliminates the need for headset-wearing while managing guests, giving teen staff a quick pick-up time of just minutes.

Their first commercial deployment opened in August inside Long Islandโ€™s Samanea Mall. With just five thousand square feet of leased space, DreamPark expanded the play zone to twenty thousand square feet at no extra cost by utilizing public mall areas. Parents can record their kids' experiences using a headset or phone and even watermarks videos for social sharing.

In development are several parks including Super Adventureland, Wizard World, Monster Catcher's Journey, and Science Fiction Universe. While IAAPA will feature the latter most polished park, the expansion model involves building an immersive universe with zones across available space similar to how guests navigate a real theme park.

A major advantage is that DreamPark offers more control over lighting and scale using passthrough technology. This technology seamlessly integrates digital worlds into physical environments making attractions like virtual lava flows appear as if they open from the floor. Sessions can be longer than traditional themes due to headset comfort, such as an eleven-year-old staying for ninety minutes.

To support this vision, Two Bit Circus has recently raised a pre-seed round of funding. The market response at IAAPA is expected to shape their next move. Bushnell believes DreamPark allows operators to monetize empty space while providing guests with the magical experience of stepping into any world delivered anywhere through a headset.

OMG ๐Ÿคฏ, I think this DreamPark thingy is gonna change the game! ๐ŸŽฎ They're talkin bout takin them traditional theme parks and turnin em into virtual experiences... it's like somethin outta a sci-fi movie ๐Ÿš€. The fact that they can do this with just hours of setup and passthrough tech is mindblowing ๐Ÿ’ฅ. I mean, imagine bein able to try out diff zones in a "park" with no need to leave the mall or anythin... it's like havin ur own personal theme park ๐ŸŒŸ! And the best part? No one gets left behind cuz of headset comfort, so kiddos can stay for ages without gettin tired ๐Ÿ˜ด. Can't wait to try this out 2 see how its all done ๐Ÿค”

I'm so over these theme parks... who needs physical stuff when you can just wear a fancy headset and forget about your surroundings? ๐Ÿคฃ It's like they're saying, "Hey, let's take all the magic away from our kids and replace it with something that'll give them motion sickness" ๐Ÿ˜‚. And don't even get me started on the cost - $1000 for a headset? That's just ridiculous! What's next, charging you to breathe in a virtual world? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ The tech is cool I guess, but it's all about the hype at this point...

omg, can u believe this? ๐Ÿคฏ they're bringin reality theme park experiences on the go! like, no more lines or waitin for them new rides ๐Ÿšซ. just set up in a mall or somethin and you got ur own mini adventure land ๐ŸŒ. i think it's kinda genius how they use passthrough tech to make it look like ur in another world ๐Ÿ’ป. and the fact that parents can record videos of their kids havin fun is so cool! ๐Ÿ‘€ i'm dyin to try this out, but also a lil worried about the cost ๐Ÿค‘. maybe they'll come down on price after we see how it goes? ๐Ÿคž

DreamPark is literally changing the game for theme parks! ๐Ÿคฏ I'm loving how they're using tech to bring virtual experiences to physical spaces, making it feel like you're walking into a different world ๐Ÿ’ป. The passthrough technology is so cool - imagine getting sucked into a virtual lava flow that's actually projected onto the floor ๐Ÿ”ฅ! They're thinking outside the box (or park) and finding ways to monetize empty space ๐Ÿค‘. And the best part? Guests get to enjoy these immersive experiences without the need for extra headset-wearing ๐Ÿ‘. With new parks like Wizard World, Monster Catcher's Journey, and Science Fiction Universe in development, I'm hyped to see what they have in store ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘€!

I gotta say, this DreamPark thingy is like a perfect example of how gov'ts should step in and regulate innovation ๐Ÿค”. I mean, think about it, they're basically creating an immersive experience that's gonna attract the youth and keep them engaged for longer periods... just imagine all the positive social impact! ๐ŸŒŸ On the flip side, what about accessibility? Are these VR headsets gonna be affordable for everyone? That's the real question. And what's with this pre-seed funding? Is it gonna lead to monopoly or competition? ๐Ÿค‘ The future of entertainment is indeed thrilling, but let's not forget, there's a bigger picture here...

omg u gotta try dreampark! its like who needs an actual theme park when ur can have one in ur backyard or mall lol ๐Ÿคฏ theyre using qr codes and passthrough tech to create this immersive universe that feels so much more realistic than just a regular virtual reality exp tho ๐Ÿ‘€ i mean the best part is u can control lighting and scale which makes it feel super lifelike... but isnt it kinda weird that u need 2 devices one for ur head & another 4 ur phone lmao ๐Ÿคช anyway i heard they got a major sponsor at iaapa which is gonna make dreampark a lot more accessible... now its just a matter of them executing on this vision

omg ๐Ÿคฉ i'm so hyped about this dreampark thing! ๐ŸŽข they're literally turning malls into immersive theme parks ๐Ÿ‘ and it's genius ๐Ÿคฏ who needs a huge space when u can create an entire universe with passthrough tech ๐Ÿ”ฎ? plus, the headset is comfy enough for kids to stay in for ages ๐Ÿคซ i'd love to try it out at samanea mall soon ๐Ÿ“ 11 minutes is a looong time for a kid to be on a ride lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ what's next? a dreampark for every city? ๐ŸŒ†๐Ÿš€

idk about this dreampark thing but it sounds like so much fun ๐Ÿคฉ! they're taking those virtual experiences and putting them in real theme parks already? thats like magic lol. no more waiting in long lines or crowded rides, you can just wear the headsets and play wherever u want. its also cool that parents can record vids of their kids having a blast without even having to put on the headset themselves ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿป. and i love how they're using passthrough tech so it feels like ur really in the virtual world ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ’ฅ

๐Ÿค” I gotta say, this DreamPark thingy sounds like a total game-changer for families and kids. I mean, who wouldn't want to step into a virtual world on their phone or headset? It's like having an immersive theme park experience in the palm of your hand! ๐Ÿ“ฑ The fact that they're using passthrough technology is genius - it makes you forget you're even wearing a headset! ๐Ÿ”€ And with all these new parks in development, I'm excited to see what they have planned. My grandkids would totally love this. It's like having an endless adventure without breaking the bank or wasting space. Can't wait to check it out for myself ๐ŸŽ

ugh i can imagine how cool it'll be to have dreampark pop up literally anywhere ๐Ÿคฉ and its so nice that they're doing this for kids their hearts rate spikes just like brent bushnells did lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ its amazing that with passthrough tech they can make digital worlds feel super real it sounds like a totally immersive experience ๐ŸŒ what i'm really hoping is that dreampark becomes more accessible to ppl who cant afford regular theme parks cuz its so expensive ๐Ÿ’ธ

I gotta say, this portable theme park thing sounds wild ๐Ÿ˜ฒ! I mean, who wouldn't want to ride virtual roller coasters or explore digital worlds in their backyard? It's like having a mini theme park but without all the hassle and space needed. The fact that it can fit into tiny spaces like mall areas is genius ๐Ÿ’ก. And the passthrough tech sounds so cool! Like, my kid would freak out if they could see virtual lava flows on the floor ๐Ÿคฏ. But what I'm most excited about is that it seems to bring people together and create memories, even just for a few minutes of fun ๐ŸŽ‰. Can't wait to see how this thing takes off and becomes more accessible to everyone!

omg I'm so stoked about this new concept! DreamPark sounds like an absolute blast for people who love theme parks and trying out new tech ๐Ÿคฉ. The idea of having portable, immersive experiences that can be set up in minutes is pure genius. And the fact that parents can record their kids' adventures and share them on social media is a great way to keep everyone excited ๐Ÿ’ป. I'm also loving the innovation behind it - passthrough technology sounds so cool! ๐Ÿค– Can't wait to see what other parks they come out with, like Super Adventureland and Science Fiction Universe ๐ŸŽข๐Ÿ‘ฝ

I think this whole portable theme park thing is lit ๐Ÿคฏ! I mean, who wouldn't want to experience their fave reality TV shows or games in a totally immersive way? The idea that they can just set up shop anywhere with minimal equipment is genius ๐Ÿ’ก. And the fact that they're using VR tech to create these interactive experiences is mind-blowing ๐Ÿ˜ฒ. I'm stoked to see what other parks they come out with, like Super Adventureland and Wizard World ๐ŸŽข. The passthrough technology sounds so cool, it's like having a mini theme park in your living room! ๐Ÿ‘
