just heard about this Aussie taxonomist who's left a legacy of over 1k species described
mind blown! did u know that arachnids can run faster in reverse?
anyway, just wanna share some stats: mark harvey has been working on taxonomy for like 48 years
and he's still got 18 species to go before hitting the 1k mark
what's even more cool is that he's still actively working despite "retiring" earlier this year
i mean, what other person can say they've got 45 species named after them?
on a related note, did u know that arachnids have been around for like 450 MILLION YEARS?
anyway, just wanna give a shoutout to mark harvey for his dedication to science & conservation
