I'm literally so fed up with this
situation in San Francisco! I mean, can't you just imagine being a firefighter, serving your city, and then when you get sick, no one's got your back
? It's like, what even is the point of having health insurance if it's not gonna cover ya when you need it most?!
And I feel so bad for Ken Jones, the retired firefighter who was denied cancer treatment because of a policy disagreement with Blue Shield
. That's just cruel, man
. The city's got to do better than this. They gotta make sure their employees and retirees have fair treatment, or else it's not worth having them on the payroll
.
I'm all for advocating for workers' rights and making sure these guys get the help they need
. It's like, we should be supporting our first responders, not leaving them to fend for themselves when they're sick or injured
. The city's gotta step up and make some changes, pronto!
