SF firefighters rally for retiree denied cancer treatment by Blue Shield as more come forward

I'm literally so fed up with this 🤯 situation in San Francisco! I mean, can't you just imagine being a firefighter, serving your city, and then when you get sick, no one's got your back 🙅‍♂️? It's like, what even is the point of having health insurance if it's not gonna cover ya when you need it most?! 💸

And I feel so bad for Ken Jones, the retired firefighter who was denied cancer treatment because of a policy disagreement with Blue Shield 🤕. That's just cruel, man 😔. The city's got to do better than this. They gotta make sure their employees and retirees have fair treatment, or else it's not worth having them on the payroll 💯.

I'm all for advocating for workers' rights and making sure these guys get the help they need 🤝. It's like, we should be supporting our first responders, not leaving them to fend for themselves when they're sick or injured 🚒💪. The city's gotta step up and make some changes, pronto! 💥

And what's with Blue Shield's stance? They're just following the rules, but that doesn't make it right 💁‍♀️. If there's a breach of contract, then they should be held accountable 🔒. It's not like they're asking for special treatment, just fair treatment for those who have served their community 🤝.

This whole thing is highlighting the need for better healthcare coverage for city employees and retirees 🚨. We need to make sure that our workers' rights are protected and that they can get the care they need without having to fight against insurance companies 💪.
 
🤕 The situation with Ken Jones is just crazy 🤯, I mean who doesn't want to live if they're gonna retire? 😒 And its not like Blue Shield didn't know about the CMS policies before they decided to go against it 🙄. Its like a big mess and people are getting hurt because of it 💔. The city is finally stepping in though 👏, I hope they get to the bottom of this and make sure Ken gets the treatment he deserves ❤️. Firefighters are literally putting their lives on the line every day, we should be doing more to support them 🚒💪.
 
man this is getting crazy... 🤯 San Francisco firefighters are standing up for one of their own, a retired guy who got denied cancer treatment because of a policy disagreement with Blue Shield... it's like, what even is the point of having a health plan if you can't get treated? 🤔 and now other cases are coming to light which is just, wow... 65% of firefighters are gonna contract some form of cancer in their lifetime, that's insane... 💥 the city's gotta do something about this, they need to look into the agreement with Blue Shield and see if there's been a breach of contract... it's all about advocating for workers' rights and making sure those who have served their communities get the care they deserve 🙏
