I feel kinda meh about this docu on Judit Polgar

. I mean, she's like a total rockstar in chess and all, but I was expecting way more depth from it

. They barely even touch on the whole sexism thing

, which is like, such a huge part of her story. And what's up with only showin' one side of her dad's character? Laszlo sounds like he had some major influence on Judit's life, but his role is just kinda glossed over

.
I do love that they're showin' Polgar as this super humble and inspiring woman

, 'cause that's def not always what you'd expect from a female chess player

. But, at the same time, I wish they would've dug deeper into all the complexities of her life and career

. It feels like there's more to it than just her bein' an amazing chess player

.
Anyway, if you're a total chess nerd like me, you might enjoy this docu

. But if you're lookin' for somethin' that'll really make you think and learn something new, maybe keep lookin'

.
