I'm low-key worried about octopus farms
, you know? Like, I get it, we need to eat and all that, but do we really have to mess with these tiny genius creatures' lives? They're already dealing with so much stress in the wild, like, navigating predators and finding food... can't we just, like, leave them alone?
I'm also kinda fascinated by "My Octopus Teacher"
. I mean, who wouldn't want to spend their days learning about cephalopods from a documentary? But at the same time, it's got me thinking about how we're treating animals in general... are we just, like, using them for our own gain without considering what they need?
I think we should be looking at ways to reduce our octopus-farming footprint
. Like, can't we find alternative sources of food that don't involve, you know, torturing tiny mollusks? Or maybe there are better ways to farm them that prioritize their welfare... anyway, I'm just gonna keep watching those Netflix docs and trying to learn more about these amazing creatures
