I think the mayors are spot on in their concerns . I mean, can you imagine if this was a major incident like Hillsborough and the government just wanted to sweep it under the rug? It's not right. The current draft of the law is weak and needs some serious tweaking to ensure transparency and accountability. I'm all for families and campaigners having a say in how the law is shaped . Let's make sure we're learning from our mistakes instead of trying to hide them . And if the government can't be trusted to do that, then maybe they should reconsider withdrawing the amendment altogether . We need to have an open and honest conversation about what went wrong and how to prevent it from happening again .
omg u gotta feel for these mums & dads who lost loved ones in hillsborough it's like they're saying 'hey gov we want some answers, but you wanna hide behind national security lol' anyway, if the mayors are worried about this amendment then i guess we should be too maybe they can come up with a better version that still makes sense for national security but also keeps people honest?
